Robotics is a cross-disciplinary field that involves the design, construction, operation, and application of robots. Robotics efforts aim to produce machines that can aid and support people. Robotics is the convergence of science, engineering, and technology that generate machines, known as robots, which mimic or replace human activities. Machine learning and robotics converge in a domain referred to as robot learning. Robot learning involves examining methods that allow a robot to get new knowledge or abilities by utilizing ML algorithms. There are several types of robotics such as Mechanical Construction, Electrical Components, and Software Programs. Some robots are designed in advance to carry out designated functions, specifying they work in a regulated setting where they execute straightforward, repetitive tasks such as a robotic arm on a car production line. Various types of robot components include control systems, sensors, actuators, power supplies, and end effectors. Robots are preconfigured to execute specific task. The progress of AI significantly impacts the future of robotics. AI can integrate with robotics to create digital twins and develop simulations that help businesses to increase their workflows. Robotic process automation could displace human workers, particularly those lacking the ability to adjust to an evolving job environment. Manufacturing robots are able to put together products, categorize items, execute welding tasks, and apply paint to objects. They can also be used to repair and service various machines in a factory or warehouse. The uses and potentials for robotics are limitless, with more than 12 million robotic units globally in 2020. The sector is set to keep expanding in the next few years, with 88% of companies intending to incorporate robotic automation into their systems. Presently industrial robots, along with various other kinds of robots, are utilized to execute repetitive tasks. They may appear as a robotic arm, a collaborative robot (cobot), a robotic exoskeleton, or humanoid robots.
